Arg!! Due to a very possible layoff in real life this summer, I MUST find a way to support what I give away. I will continue putting out free quality items.
Simply put, making free items in Second Life costs money - sculpts, textures....and land. My sponsor, es0 Torok of "LC Sculpts - Handmade in Texas!". has paid for my Sim for well over a year. She is my real life sister and I am deeply grateful for her generousity. Any tips coming in have gone toward textures and sculpts.
I can't depend on es0 to forever pay my tier in sl, soooooo... I decided to open "In Good Taste". My free projects will ALWAYS continue, but any buildings I make I will need to charge for. I know, I know ... I hate having to do it but for now I need to.
So what quality of building does a person who's put out free items for so long make??? Well, I do put love and care into everything I make, fee or no fee. Take a peek at my first project:

I wanted a warm, lush look with a splash of color.
I will continue to put out free item's at these shops, but have decided to charge for items I make at In Good Taste.
Vignette In Her Shoes LC Sculpts - Handmade in Texas - By the way, all her personal sculpts are free and mod/copy. You only pay if you need full version sets. This is a huge plus for SIM owners and people who love to experiment with building.
I liked buying the bits separate - Vest, Pants, Hat and Sash. This way I could come up with just the colors I wanted. BTW - The hat fit perfectly on the hair I picked up over at Truth.
My two favorite things about this look were the hair and eyes. Those two small additions to the outfit made the whole look look pop!

Two months now since my breakup with Kairos and I'm trying to move on. I've actually flirted with a few, but I find the clever ones live in foreign countries and the timing bites.
I've tried a ball room or two with very..uncomfortable results..Eww! (thank goodness for mute). Old friends have been incredibly supportive but whining on their shoulders stopped some time back.
I think it's harder to meet that "great person" the second time around. Yesh..all those expectations. Two have even asked me to "change my look just for them" OMG , HELL NO!! Can't believe they asked. One wanted the "overblown" look of an older woman with bad plastic surgery. I swear - I went into sl shock on THAT one. He seemed so normal!
On a positive note, I am more optimistic lately and try not to take any of them seriously:)
Sometimes you just have to take a risk ... go on hunts ... play in sl shopping games ... that's what I've done this time around. Summer Choice 2009 - honestly - you can't go wrong on this one! Shop at one of the listed stores and grab a card...go get it stamped at the 20 stores and at the end you get to select from a nice range of amazing freebies!
My first card was used to grab this freebie artist apron and paint brush. It lets me feel creative and sloppy and ..well...it gives me a bit of atitude. The rest was thrown together with things already in my closet.

So, why is it a toy?Take a look at this beautifully done cigarette tray. It has a very handy script in it which hands out goodies. All you have to do is toss in the full perm item you want it to pass out (I put in the hair I was wearing and a landmark to Vignette). Now every time a random person clicks my tray - they get the treat!! How cool is that??
What a great retro outfit and costume. I was thrilled with the stockings - nicely done with the seam heading up the cheek. Since the dress is so short, I think the stockings adds a bit of tease to the whole look. The little pill box hat can perch on pretty much any hair in your inventory with ease (whew! gotta love that!). Little things much a big difference.
As for the skin - time to pull out a sweet vintage pin up skin - I think it brings the whole look together. Here are a few interesting little sims to take a peek at: Drowsy *Rouge Forest* Wretched Hollow Grungeboardin A, Give it time to Rez and B, Follow instructions for a blast! Land of Aryador - beautifully built roleplay sim - even the entry looks great (and we all know roleplays start with a platform in the sky where you find rules and tags ...and mall stuff)
Personally, I just love a good roleplay and props are crucial....no...they really are.
*Pompoms are great for waving under noses. *Bobbysocks separate the sophisticated Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader types from the 18 - 21 yr old types...uh..sure - the college kids. *Short skirt that flips up when you swing your hips at just the right guy. *Last but not least, pig tails to hold onto (in the right situation:)
So go check out the team games in sl and start cheering (or jeering) as the case may be. I dare you to be the most annoying cheerleader of all time!
Outfit - ::: B@R ::: Cheer Leader (look among the newer release stuff in the middle of the store). BareRose outfits are always an AMAZING bargain and you always get more than you expect in the box. Green, blue, purple, red, OMGosh - This is like a 4 in one!
Shoes - PornStar Hi-Tops MultiColor v2. Yes, the might seem a tiny bit pricey but they're worth it. Touch them and you get tons of color options all rolled up into one shoe - no need for a fat pack to clutter your inventory.
Skin - :GP: Petal FREX [Light] April-Jonquil 1. I wanted something that looked natural and young.
I've found tons of maid outfits in MY closet and wanted to share. Each has advantages. I must say - thank GOODNESS for designers who aren't afraid to create extras so the fashion conscious in sl may have tons multiple choices in the box.
Honestly - I liked all of them but # 2 was my favorite (it had a certain Lolita feel i couldn't resist). It also had black and white stockings in the box..what can I say - I'm a sucker for socks and stockings.

I really don't find many ladies kilts out there so this one did catch my eye. I have to admit I love all the bits and pieces it comes with. Wearable options make all the difference!
The textures are just georgous and I love the fringe in the front. You will need to edit the fringe bits down just a bit if you decide to wear just the open laced jacket with it. If you know how to mod individual linked pieces,this should be no problem at all.
As for the boots, I wanted dark leather and I wanted them to have the feel of old medieval flat boots. These were perfect!. I am happy to say the tint of these boots are mod so I could make them as dark as I liked!

I wanted a dance area with cuddles so I figured why not. When you have a chance - come check out the dance floors (4 of them). I wanted four because I look forward to changing their themes up a bit on occasion. You will also notice the silent film going on in the background. The movies are for all the folks in sl who might not be able to have the music cranked up. I find silent movies terribly romantic.. The music on the sim has changed a bit in order to reflect the new mood.
Not only are they great dance floors but you'll also find great little areas to sit and chat with friends and sweethearts. So stop by and take a look!

How many long term Second Life couplesdo you know? I’m talking couples that have been together for at least a year.They are incredibly rare.These are the couples that are beyond the infatuation stage. They have absolute trust and faith in each other. Many have ridden the rollercoaster of drama but they always hang on.
There comes a moment when they have a real relationship breakthrough. Maybe they’re on the dance floor checking out the other people in the room.Some stranger im’s one of you and begins to flirt (Let’s be honest – it’s always some woman hitting on your guy).
Your guy being the fun adventurous sort that he is, shows you the flirty IM of the “other woman”.You begin to honestly trust this tall handsome guy you’re dancing with. For goodness sake, the two of you have been together “forever” by sl standards. You’ve learned to argue, adventure and explore with him.
At this point in the dance you know he’s coming home with you. The guy wants to be exactly where he is. His flirting continues with the other lady but oddly enough he shares the dialogue with you. No doubt about it -it’s just a silly flirtation. Goodness knows after a year you’ve flirted a bit yourself with other men.
You realize flirting with others is fun, because you’re sharing that flirting game with your partner. The partner you love. You are both smiling ….teasing with each other …and with others …and it’s good.
At some point in my own two year relationship with Kairos, we learned to share. Our relationship blossomed. We realized we could open the relationship, but no longer wear our partnerships in our profiles.Shoot, if we did THAT no one would ask me to dance and not as many ladies would whisper in his ear.
I guess I should get to the point here. Where are the couples who enjoy spending time with other couples? We are a sharing flirty couple who want to hang out with other sharing flirty couples. We tried joining the swinging groups, but as you click through their member ship list you realize…dang -hardly any partnered people there. Besides – they seem to just be on the look out for sex and only sex.
My guy and I wanted more…we were greedy. We wanted friends – flirty teasing friends. The kind that know how to share if the moment comes but love their own partners.

Dress - 2 complete dresses - long and short from an amazing designer - (Evangeline Miles) at Evie's Closet. Aventine is stunning and comes in a number of gorgeous colors. I've only shown the shorter dress in the box here - the long one in the box is a MUST SEE - so get yourself over there!
Wreath - *EC* Wreath of Flowers at Evie's Closet - tons and tons of color changes on the wreath - It will go with anything!
Wings - Small Bloodvine Nebula Wings at Fancy Fairy - (animated and they change to a number of colors on touch!)
Skin - omg!!! new skins at Curio!! :GP: Petal [Dark] Lovely-Gossamer 1. I love this one - It has a bit of a sad look.
Sometimes on those hunts we stumble across the greatest little stores. I found Blonde. OMG!! I'm jealous - her retro building skills are absolutely amazing. This is a "must see little store" for fun retro stuff.

When you go to put it on you'll pause - "What am I gonna wear it with?" Sure, I could mod a fluffy 50's skirt and squeeze my ass into everything BUT, no need! Slip on a system skirt!
If your a savy retro diva you have this skirt in your closet already. It's the Gina highwaist pencil skirt at artilleri. So ladies - put on your system skirt ass, shimmy into your pencil skirt and put on this apron! Gotta LOVE the details!
Then I thought - gotta have a white reto shirt somewhere in the closet. Woohoo - I found one! The Fleur Mars Shirt White - it was perfect.
Let's go with something a bit unpredictable with the shoes....black glasses - black hair.... hell, go for black shoes. The little red bows are just the right touch.
If you don't have the right system skirt, think about trying some cigarette pants or reto capri's.

I could easily see in a Firefly/Serenity setting - If you've never seen the shows or the movie and you like science fiction - shame on you. Best show ever!!
The outfit has 4 skirt colors (and stocking colors) in the box and has tons of options - You can be as flirty with it as you like.
The boots are separate but bought at the same shop and they are perfect with the outfit. I love the worn leather look and the buttons seem to glow. The stockings, garter and necklace are all included.
