Talk about drama...this dress has it!

It's an all in one box combination - you just can't beat that.
I did notice when wearing the long gown, i do get a tiny peek a boo in the back, but i felt that added to the charm of the gown. The texture of the bottom trim is a very feminine netting - beautiful!

Then we have the system short dress - the little up slit in the front adds a certain sexiness to it and wow - talk about class! Of course the back of the dress has a beautifully detailed lace up from top to bottom.

The garter - love love the garter. When you're on a date and the evening is going well...as you stop to cuddle...if you want to disrobe a bit...this is such a classy way to do it.

All Dressed Up

I swear this had to have been one of the most difficult photo shoots for me. Even with the Muse Windlight settings, things were not going well. It had to do with the lighting in the club and the fog.... Club owners out there - THE FOG IS OVERRATED!

On the other hand I couldn't get a single photo that did justice to this gown. The bodice is incredibly detailed and worth every linden paid. The sleeves have this puffy translucent quality that whispers romance and the gloves add a classy, sensuous feel to the outfit.

I did not photo the many skirts that come with this dress because there were so many - I selected the two which had the most historical drama for me:) Victorian and well...what is that other look? I've seen it in both movies and pictures but I cant for the life of me pin it down to an exact era.

The hat is gorgeous. When i first set it on my head it felt...big. Don't let that worry you, the big hat look was very popular back in the day. I shrunk it the tiniest bit, and then started looking for just the right hair - Oh my - that was freaking hard! I wasn't about to mod the hat for the hair.

Finally! I put on this soft updo and it was perfect. I did not have to mod the hair(Whew!). I think 2 or 3 very small strands are visible in the back but that's because I had shrunk the hat a bit.

Sophisticated 50's

Today is a fine day - the beginning of a long weekend, daughter is home from school and my youngest is doing great:).

As for fashion - I wanted to show you this dress I picked up over at 1-800 BETTIE'S. I danced with a very nice gentleman who told me several times how much he liked the texture in the skirt. I must admit, it's downright luscious.

Please take the time to expand the photo and look closely at the texture. This photo simply does not do it justice. By the way, I just love getting two skirts in the bundle (yay!!!) The lace gives me that warm girlie feeling.

The only thing I wish was bit different were the gloves - for me the little details make a difference. I guess what I'd like to find would be black velvet gloves with little pearl buttons at the wrist. I like girlie girl stuff:))

The back of the neckline needed a little something to make it stand out, so off I went (with the help of the ladies at Fashion Emergency) to find a back necklace:). Caroline's had just what I was looking for!

The cherry on top, was the hair. It needed to be sophisticated and this style (Debutante) pulled the outfit together for me.

For the Love of It!

This stunning Medieval inspired gown was created by Evangeline Miles. Some folks tend to build so they can open a store (so they can make money) - but not this lady. She does it for the art. It shows in everything she makes.

I have yet to see a dress in game flow as well as this one. Enlarge the photo and take a close look at this one. Under the draping folds there is a system skirt. This does give it a bit of a fuller effect. This gown comes in several jeweled colors - drop by and take a peek.

The jewelry with it's cream and gold tones along with the blond pulled back hair, adds a touch of elegance.

Experiments

My partner Kairos and I tried a little experiment this past week. We decided to open up our relationship to others. Mind you this was MY idea. Since we've been together a year now, I thought it was time to add a bit of excitement to the relationship! Think about it - you keep the lover who means so much to you AND get occasional shallow sex on the side. Hey...it could work.



So off he went to gather new friend cards (in the quest for shallow sex)....and I went off to find mine. As he started to get card..after card.....after card, I started to get a little miffed. I did flirt, I have been told I have it in me to do it:) but I kid you not, no cards for me. So I looked at the two avis trying to find the problem.

Well - we didn't hide the fact that we were partners. OMG - is there a secret guy code no one told me about??? No one wanted to flirt with a partnered woman?

Kiaros on the other hand was having the time of his life! Yes, he told me every detail (that can be kinky too:). The ladies were all over him, to hell with the fact that he was partnered, in fact .... some seemed to get a charge out of trying to pull him away from me *cough* bitches *cough*

Sure, I could have gone to a free sex room, but that's just not the same. I'd had enough, and to be honest, he knew it bugged me that he was getting all the attention:). So he called the experiment to an end.

My question for couples out there - Would a little swapping out there hurt the relationship? It did not hurt ours this week. Yes, we did look at the swapper groups but all you find in those groups are singles. Hell, I'd be happy with couples we could just hang out with.

Anyway that was my adventure of the week.

Had to Have it!

The minute it was posted by Neferia i knew I just had to have it.

The playful checkerboard skirt was the first thing that caught my eye. It's not just the contrasting colors - it's the textures on the fabrics. You see every ruffle, every line, every point in great detail. This gown is a stand out!

I do wish i could figure out which era it's from. The bouffant skirt gives it a 50's feel to me, but the sweetheart neckline with those dramatic points - looks a bit 40's. The 40's women were such Divas:). Until someone can give me a little in site to the decade - i will place this as a "Vintage Gown"

I felt the necklace should also have some contrast, so I went with ~Muse~ The Dauphine Necklace (silver/jet/diamond). I'm not sure if this can be found int he store - if not - try the silver/frost for a nice look.

Snow White

A friend asked me to go to a club opening - BUT the theme was white. T0 be honest i have never had a white gown in sl. somehow i feel the guy i am with will think i want to get hitched. I do not want the guy to be uncomfortable sooo..i never wear white gowns.

Well - it was time.

Loved all the ruffles on this one. It could fit into the 1930's OR early 1940's. So for now - i will list this one in both.

The Simplicity of Empire

If ever there was a worthwhile slot in my 25 groups it would be hands down Ivalde. This sweet Empire dress would have been popular from 1795 - 1815. I you are a member of her group - it is a freebie!! It comes in four beautiful colors.

The perfect shoes would be the Ziggy Heels at TESLA *birth color* In fact these shoes should be a stable in every vintage closet.

The black pearls were a simple touch to accent the throat and were from Last Call (Poema Pearls). The skin at Gala (Pash) gives the innocent look of the era. The eyes are of course from Sin Skin (Intense Ocean).

And the hair - i wanted the soft updo look and went with Frangipani Hair (Bianca in black)
The things i show may not always be the newest, but vintage is timeless. :)
